As a successful and professional commercial manager, David joined Claraty Consulting Ltd from Kier in 2019 to start the construction services venture. He brings with him over 20 years of experience across a broad spectrum of the construction and maintenance industries, having worked as a general builder, self-contractor, building surveyor, project manager and commercial manager. David joined Claraty as a consultant to ‘avoid specialising in any one area and get involved with a varied range of projects’, and he values the flexibility and independence that accompanies the role. David’s experience in different roles has given him valued industry expertise that allows him to help many different clients with different aspects of the industry, this also afforded him an overarching experience of contract. David especially enjoys dealing with contract disputes, in particular resolving disputes, as well as the mobilisation stage of projects and engaging with clients. David is a very conscientious person, and takes into consideration the people doing a job as much as the job itself; he values honesty and is known for his ability to deliver information with honesty and clarity.
